Setting up Instagram
The account, permissions, webhook and link codes that Instagram Direct needs.
Before you start
Instagram messaging needs the account to be a professional account linked to your Facebook Page. Check that link in Meta Business Suite before you start, because the webhook cannot deliver without it.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Prepare the account
Use a professional account connected to your Page and allow message access in the Instagram app.
Store the credentials
Enter the app id, page id, token, app secret and a strong random verify token.
Register the webhook
Deploy the inbound workflow and run the registration workflow.
Set the username
Add the Instagram username in the Reach settings for ig.me link codes.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled after the first test message arrives.
