Setting up Mattermost
The bot account, slash command and token that connect Mattermost to Reach.
Before you start
Agree with the partner who owns their Mattermost server which addresses may call each other. Their administrator creates the bot account and the slash command; your team only needs the tokens they generate.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Create the bot account
Add a bot account in the system console and copy its access token and user id.
Store the details
Enter the token in the Mattermost Bot credential and the server address and bot id in the settings.
Create the slash command
Deploy the inbound workflow, then create a POST slash command such as /reach that calls it.
Save the command token
Enter the token Mattermost shows for the command in the Mattermost Command Token credential.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled after a test command.
