Messenger
Setting up Messenger
The Meta app, Page token, verified webhook and link codes for Messenger.
Before you start
Meta asks for app review before a Page can message people who are not app testers. Add your team as testers first, confirm messages arrive in Reach, and then submit the permissions for review.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Connect the Page
Add the Messenger product to your Meta app and connect it to the company Page.
Store the credentials
Enter the app id, page id, Page access token and app secret, plus a strong random verify token.
Register the webhook
Deploy the inbound workflow on a public address and run the webhook registration workflow.
Set the Page name
Add the Page username in the Reach settings so link codes open an m.me chat.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled once the token works.
