RCS via Twilio
Setting up RCS via Twilio
The RCS sender, Messaging Service, signed webhook and card templates for RCS.
Before you start
Submit your RCS sender for approval early, with your logo, brand colour, description and contact details ready. The Messaging Service and the Reach workflows can be tested with SMS fallback while approval runs.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Register the sender
Apply for an RCS sender through Twilio and add it to a Messaging Service with an SMS number.
Store the keys
Enter the Account SID, the Messaging Service SID and the auth token in the RCS Twilio credential.
Choose fallback
Keep SMS fallback on, or switch an environment to RCS only.
Point the webhook
Deploy the inbound workflow and set the Messaging Service incoming webhook to its exact public address.
Build cards
Create card templates in the Content Template Builder, then enable the channel.
