Setting up Slack
The Slack app scopes, Events API subscription and credentials for this channel.
Before you start
Talk to the partner's Slack administrators before installing across workspaces. Some workspaces restrict external apps, and an allow-list request is quicker when you can show exactly which scopes the app uses.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Create the app
Create a Slack app with the chat and direct message scopes and enable the Messages tab.
Install it
Install the app in the workspace and copy the bot token, signing secret and team id.
Subscribe to events
Deploy the inbound workflow, set it as the request URL and subscribe to direct message events.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled after a test message arrives.
