SMSPortal
Setting up SMSPortal
The SMSPortal API key, reply webhook template and test mode for two-way SMS.
Before you start
Create a dedicated API key for Reach so its sends and replies are easy to separate in SMSPortal reports, and confirm which number on your account accepts replies.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Create an API key
Create a REST API key in SMSPortal and copy its client id and secret.
Store the key
Enter the client id and secret in the SMSPortal API credential and choose a sender id if you use one.
Create the reply webhook
Deploy the inbound workflow, then create a POST reply webhook with the X-Reach-Token header and the JSON template from the README.
Link it to the key
Attach the reply webhook to the same API key in the key's webhook settings.
Enable the channel
Turn test mode off for production and register the channel as enabled.
SMSPortal is a trademark of its owner, named here only to identify the service this package connects to.
See it on your own systems.
A demo takes an hour, on your data landscape rather than ours.
