Splunk On-Call

Setting up Splunk On-Call

The REST integration key, routing keys and message type for Splunk On-Call.

Part of Reach Outbound only

Before you start

List the routing keys your teams use and decide which one should catch escalations that name no team. That key becomes the default routing setting.

Steps

Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.

Enable the integration

Turn on the REST generic integration and copy its key.

Store the key

Enter the key in the Splunk On-Call REST credential.

Set the defaults

Choose the default routing key and message type per environment.

Create escalation contacts

Create one contact per rotation with its routing key as address.

Enable the channel

Register the channel as enabled and send a warning-level test from staging.

See it on your own systems.

A demo takes an hour, on your data landscape rather than ours.
