Setting up Telegram
The bot, the inbound lane you choose, documents and deep-link codes for Telegram.
Before you start
Decide early whether the install may accept calls from the internet. Polling works from behind a firewall with only outbound traffic, while the webhook needs a public address and a secret that Telegram sends with every call.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Create the bot
Talk to BotFather, create the bot and copy its token and username.
Store the token
Enter the token in the Telegram Bot credential and the username in the Reach settings.
Choose the inbound lane
Enable the polling job, or deploy the inbound workflow with a webhook secret and register it with Telegram.
Turn on documents
Deploy the document sender if linked clients should receive statements and other PDFs.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled with the admission rule you want.
