WhatsApp via Turn.io
Setting up WhatsApp via Turn.io
The Turn token, the signed webhook and handover rules for WhatsApp on Turn.
Before you start
Decide with the team that builds your Turn journeys where handover happens. A clear keyword or menu option for talking to a person keeps both systems from answering the same question.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Create a token
Create an API token in Turn under the API and webhooks settings.
Store the token
Enter it in the Turn API Token credential.
Add the webhook
Deploy the inbound workflow, add a Turn webhook to its public address with an HMAC secret, and store that secret in Reach.
Agree the handover
Decide which journeys hand clients to Reach and test one conversation end to end.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled once the test conversation shows on the contact.
