WhatsApp via Twilio
Setting up WhatsApp via Twilio
The Twilio sender, the signed webhook, link codes and templates for WhatsApp via Twilio.
Before you start
Twilio registers the WhatsApp sender with Meta on your behalf, so plan for the approval of the sender profile and the first templates. The sandbox lets developers build against the real message flow while that approval runs.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Enable a WhatsApp sender
Request a WhatsApp sender in Twilio, or join the sandbox while you test.
Store the keys
Enter the account SID, the sender number in international format and the auth token in the WhatsApp Twilio credential.
Point the webhook
Deploy the inbound workflow and set the sender's incoming-message webhook to its public address, exactly as Reach shows it.
Build templates
Create templates in the Content Template Builder, get them approved for WhatsApp and queue them by content id.
Enable the channel
Register the channel as enabled once the keys are in place, with the admission rule that suits your clients.
