Discord
Setting up Discord
The Discord bot, the Gateway service for DMs and the interactions endpoint.
Before you start
Invite the application to your community server with the bot and command scopes, and switch on the Message Content intent in the developer portal so direct messages carry their text.
Steps
Each channel installs disabled, so nothing is sent before these steps are done.
Create the application
Create a Discord application with a bot and copy its token, public key and application id.
Store the credentials
Enter the token in both bot credentials and the public key in its own credential.
Turn on the Gateway
Set the Gateway bot credential to enabled, deploy the DM workflow and ask your administrator to enable the service on one worker.
Add the commands
Deploy the interactions workflow, set its endpoint and register /ask and /link.
Go live
Enable the channel after a test DM and a test /ask reach your test contact.
Discord is a trademark of its owner, named here only to identify the service this package connects to.
See it on your own systems.
A demo takes an hour, on your data landscape rather than ours.
