STRAX Reach · SMS, email and voice
Spoken voice messages through Twilio
For the messages that must be heard, Reach calls the client through Twilio and reads the text aloud, twice.
- Outbound calls
- Text to speech
- Logged on the record
A call for the moments that matter
Reach places the call through the Twilio Voice API from your voice-capable number. The message is spoken with the voice you choose and repeated once, so the client can catch a reference number.
Each call is recorded as a message on the client's conversation with its outcome, next to the WhatsApp, SMS and email that came before it.
Voice suits the few messages where a missed notification costs money, such as a suspected fraud case or a large payment waiting for approval. The rest of the conversation continues on the client's usual channels.
Spoken messages should be brief, clear and free of jargon. Reach speaks exactly the text you queue, so templates written for voice work best: name the company, state the reason for calling and give one action.
Where it helps
Fraud call-backs
Call a client about a suspicious transaction and ask them to confirm it on your app.
Service outages
Warn high-value clients about a payment outage before they try to pay.
Clients who prefer calls
Reach older clients who do not read messages.
Final payment notices
Place a call before a service is suspended for non-payment, when earlier messages went unanswered.

Questions
Can clients answer by keypad?
This version reads the message and ends the call. Replies come through your other channels.
Which number do clients see?
Your Twilio voice number.
What is still missing?
Inbound calls and interactive voice menus.
Can we choose the language of the spoken message?
The voice setting chooses the Twilio text-to-speech voice, which includes the language and accent. Write the message text in the same language.
What happens when a call goes unanswered?
Twilio reports the call status and Reach records it on the message, so your team can follow up by SMS or email from the same record.
