STRAX Reach · Web and portal
Chat on your own portal, with every signed-in client already verified
Your clients already sign in to your portal to buy airtime, check a wallet or download a statement. Web Chat turns that session into a trusted conversation: Reach knows who is writing before the first word.
- Signed-in users start linked
- Same console as WhatsApp and SMS
- Replies land in the open chat
The portal session does the identity work
On most channels a stranger could claim to be anyone, so Reach asks for a link code before it discusses an account. On your portal that proof already exists. The platform hands Reach the verified site user with every chat message, and Reach files it as a linked identity straight away.
That means the AI assistant, if you switch it on, can use its linked-trust behaviour from the first question, and allow-listed actions such as sending a statement can run for the person who is actually signed in. Visitors who are not signed in follow the admission rule you choose, and by default they are asked politely to sign in first.
Your agents answer in the Reach console beside WhatsApp, email and SMS. The reply appears in the chat window on the portal a moment later, marked as coming from your support team, and it never triggers the workflow again.
Where it helps
Failed top-up questions
A client who just paid for data sees the order stuck on pending and asks in the portal chat, with the order already on their record.
Card and wallet queries
Wallet holders ask about a declined card payment while signed in, so the agent can open the right account immediately.
Statements on request
A signed-in merchant asks for last month's settlement statement and receives the PDF by email through an allow-listed action.
Agent and reseller support
Resellers who sell vouchers through your portal reach the partner desk from the page they are working on.
What you need
-
A STRAX Sites portal
With sign-in enabled and a support chat section on a page your clients use.
-
Private threads
Keep the support chat on private threads, the default, so each client sees only their own conversation.
-
Reach Core 1.2
The Core version that accepts identities vouched for by a signed-in session.
-
No external account
Everything runs inside your STRAX installation, so there is no provider to sign up with.
Good to know
The chat section must give each client a private thread, which is the support chat default. On a shared chat room every visitor would read the same conversation, so never turn the channel on there.
Questions
Why is a signed-in client trusted straight away?
The site session is verified by the platform and passed to Reach with each message, so the identity is proven the same way a link code would prove it.
What happens to visitors who are not signed in?
They follow the channel's admission rule. With the default rule their message is held and they receive one reply asking them to sign in.
Can one client be recognised across channels?
Yes, when the site verifies email addresses Reach joins the portal user to the existing contact with the same email, so WhatsApp and portal chats share one history.
Does it work without the AI assistant?
Yes, people can answer every message from the console. The assistant is an optional add-on that you enable per contact.
